About us
The IT company we'd want to hire
Network Motion exists because too many small businesses put up with slow responses, jargon-heavy reports and IT that's merely tolerated. We think the bar should be higher — so we built for it.
What we believe
Four principles we're happy to be tested on
Every provider claims values. Ours are specific enough to disagree with — and to hold us to.
Plain English is a policy
If we can't explain a recommendation without jargon, we haven't understood it well enough to charge you for it. Reports, invoices and advice all pass the read-it-aloud test.
Security is the default
MFA, patching, tested backups and sensible access aren't premium add-ons; they're the baseline of every service we run. We'd rather lose a deal than run IT unsafely.
Engineering over ticket-shuffling
Closing the same ticket weekly isn't support, it's theatre. We fix root causes, automate the repetitive stuff, and measure ourselves on problems that stop recurring.
Advice you can check
Recommendations come with the reasoning and the price attached, and 'do nothing for now' is always on the list when it's the honest answer.
The name
Why “Network Motion”?
The mark in our logo joins the o of network to the o of motion — two nodes, connected. That's the job in one picture: connect the pieces of your business, and keep the whole thing moving. IT that stands still — unpatched, unreviewed, unplanned — quietly becomes the thing that holds a business back.
How we work
Built remote-first, run like engineers
The operating habits behind the service — the parts you feel week to week.
Remote-first, UK-wide
We support organisations across the UK, remote-first — with on-site visits arranged where the work genuinely needs hands on hardware.
Documented, so you're never hostage
Your environment is documented as we go, and the documentation is yours. Good providers don't need to lock the door to keep clients.
Proactive by design
Monitoring, maintenance windows and quarterly reviews mean most of our work happens before anything breaks — which is the point.
Curious about what's next
We test new tools — AI included — on ourselves first, so advice comes from use, not from a vendor webinar.
Engineers who explain things well: we'd like to meet you
We're always interested in hearing from support engineers and consultants who like fixing root causes and can talk to humans. Introduce yourself at hello@networkmotion.com.
