Why Network Motion

The four complaints we exist to end

Every business that switches provider arrives with a version of one of these. Here's our answer to each.

“Nobody ever picks up.”

Not here. You reach a UK-based engineer who remembers your setup and fixes the cause, not just the ticket.

“Security cost extra, so we skipped it.”

Not here. MFA, patching, tested backups and sensible access come switched on in every plan we run.

“The reports may as well be in Latin.”

Not here. Advice you can repeat to your board without a translator, and invoices that say what you actually bought.

“Our IT provider has no view on AI.”

Not here. We do: govern the data and permissions first, then adopt the tools that pay their way.

The flagship

AI, adopted safely

Most SMEs don't have an AI problem. They have a data, permissions and policy problem that AI exposes — and fixing that is security work, which is our day job. Foundations first, then the tools.

AI Readiness Assessment

A fixed-scope, two-week review of your data, your permissions and the AI tools staff already use unofficially, with a prioritised roadmap at the end.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Deployed to the people it will actually help, with permissions tightened first so it can't surface what it shouldn't.

Governance & policy

A working AI usage policy, UK GDPR alignment and guardrails — the same data discipline Cyber Essentials expects.

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot

Straight answers to the things people ask before they get in touch.

We already have an IT provider. Is switching disruptive?

The switch is designed to be uneventful. We deal with your outgoing provider directly, take over in stages, and run a structured first 30 days so nothing gets dropped. There's a step-by-step guide on our switching page.

What size of business do you work with?

UK organisations with roughly 10 to 250 staff: big enough that IT problems really hurt, not so big that you have a full internal IT department. We work fully managed, or alongside your in-house person.

Do you only work remotely?

We support organisations across the UK, remote-first — with on-site visits arranged where the work genuinely needs hands on hardware. Most day-to-day support is faster remotely anyway, with no waiting for someone to drive over.

What does managed IT support cost?

A fixed monthly amount per person, scoped after a short discovery call and an audit of your current setup, so the quote reflects what you actually run rather than a rate card. No surprise line items mid-month.

Can you help with AI even if our IT is a bit of a mess?

That's the situation our AI Readiness Assessment was built for. We look at what you have, fix the foundations that would make AI risky, and only then roll tools out. Starting messy is normal.

Are you tied to particular vendors?

We're Microsoft-centric where that's genuinely the right fit for SMEs (Microsoft 365, Teams, Azure), but we recommend what suits your business — and we'll say so plainly when something you already own is good enough.
